Heritage

The Heritage Collection was our beginning in a different sense.

For nearly a decade, we had built one-of-a-kind furniture and architectural interiors alongside designers, builders, and clients—learning the material, refining our craft, and developing a point of view that was distinctly our own. But eventually, there came a moment when we had to decide whether we were simply going to keep making what was asked of us, or finally put our own designs into the world.

The Heritage Collection was that moment.

It was our first signature collection and our first opportunity to show what Ross Alan could be when we started with the material, the story, and our own ideas. Every piece was thoughtfully designed around the century-old American barn wood that had shaped our work from the beginning—honoring its history without allowing that history to dictate the design.

The Barn-to-Table helped introduce the collection and quickly became one of the pieces people connected with most. The Robert Table followed, marking another turning point for us: a cleaner, more architectural expression of vintage wood and a glimpse of the design language that would continue to shape Ross Alan.

There was plenty of blood, sweat, and tears behind this collection. More importantly, there was conviction. It was the moment we stopped waiting for permission to call ourselves furniture designers and began building the pieces we wanted to see in the world.
