OUR STORY
Ross Alan Design began in a small garage in Southern California.
Like many meaningful beginnings, it started not with a business plan—but with necessity.
While preparing for the arrival of their first son, Ross and Georgie searched endlessly for furniture that felt both beautiful and lasting. Everything they found either lacked quality, character, or accessibility.
So they designed and built their own.
That first piece—the Asher Alan dresser—was created by hand for their growing family. Built from intention rather than trend, it became more than furniture. It became proof that craftsmanship, emotion, and design could coexist.
What started as one piece soon became many.
People connected not only to the material and craftsmanship, but to the feeling behind it.
Over the years, Ross Alan evolved from a humble garage operation into a nationally recognized design brand rooted in heritage materials and modern living.
Today, the company works primarily with century-old American barn wood and heritage lumber, transforming materials rich with history into elevated, modern pieces designed to stand the test of time once again.
But despite the growth, the philosophy remains unchanged:

Today, we work with century-old materials—wood that has already lived a life before it ever reaches our hands.
We don’t rush it. We don’t force it. We honor it.
