How it works
The design process, in five steps.
1. Select your design level. We recommend the level based on complexity and how the drawings will be used.
2. Share the details. Measurements, inspiration, material selections, functional requirements - anything relevant to the piece.
3. Initial design development. Our team creates the first presentation from the approved direction.
4. Client review. You send one consolidated list of revisions.
5. Final approval. The final drawing package is prepared and delivered.

What's included & what isn't.
Revisions and design changes
Each package includes the number of revision rounds identified in the proposal. A revision round is one consolidated set of comments after reviewing the design presentation. Additional rounds, significant direction changes, or requests made after final approval may require an additional design fee. If a project needs more detail than originally anticipated, the package can be upgraded to the next level.
Client-provided information
Design accuracy depends on the completeness of what the client, designer, builder, or contractor provides. Unless field measurement is included in the proposal, verifying site dimensions, clearances, structural conditions, appliance specs, utility locations, install requirements, and applicable building codes is the client's responsibility before fabrication begins. Changes from incorrect or incomplete information may affect pricing or timing.
Design ownership and use
All drawings, models, renderings, specifications, and design concepts created by Ross Alan Design remain the intellectual property of Ross Alan Design unless otherwise stated in writing. Approval drawings are for review and coordination only - they may not be reproduced, transferred, modified, or used by another party for fabrication without written authorization. SolidWorks source files, editable design files, and CNC files are not included unless identified in the proposal.

A note on The Maker's Package
The Maker's Package is a detailed design and fabrication roadmap. Architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, permit, or stamped engineering drawings are not included unless specifically identified in the proposal.
